Alice's first trip to a movie theatre. We snuck in some cheeseburgers, bought a soda, and set up shop. She did pretty stinking good and keeps asking if she can go back to the "Big" movies.

Heading up into the woods with 15 teenage girls for 5 days, is it madness? No it's girls camp!! And it was so much fun. The 12-18 years olds, and a couple of church leaders headed up into the mountains for 5 days of getting away from it all. We got off to a rough start though, about 1/2 way up the mountain we had to pull to the side of the road for an hour while another leader took care of some surprise personal stuff. Then when we got to the camp ground it turned out the the leaders tent was a piece of hud! Holes int he ceiling, and the floor, and the tent flaps wouldn't sip. We had to duct tape and clothspin the whole thing. It was such a hot mess but it was 100 times better then sleeping outside. While we were there we did songs, games, archery, ziplining, crafts, kayaking, hikes, dance parties, obstacle courses, and just spent time getting to know everyone. I had such a fabulous time up there and will cross my fingers that I get invited to next years girls camp.

This fourth of July was pretty classic. Oh wait, except when an arial firework fell over and tried to kill us all!!!!!!!! Seriously it was one of those that go up in the air and explode, the stupid thing shot once up into the air and then fell over and started shooting at us. It was so scary. At one point one of them went under the car and I though we were all dead. I thought the car was going to explode and kill us all. Luckily no one died, no one even got hurt. But it was most certainly the closest I ever want to get to a firework again.

My dad was the first one to notice the fire wok fiasco. It a real "Oh S**T" moment.

Ahhh!!! Bugs in lollipops! My dear sweet sister has a bit of a pestering streak to her. We invite her over for dinner and she whips out these scorpion filled lollipops for the kids. She at least explained to the kids that there were bugs in them but I don't think they got it. Either that or they didn't care because they ate the lollipops anyway. Bugs and all. Yuck!

As much as I loved my turquoise hair it was time for it to go. The bleach and dye killed my hair. It felt like I had broom bristles at the tips of my hair and it was constantly getting tangled and dreaded. Yuck. So I went and got a professional hair cut, the first one since I was pregnant with Alice. And it turned out so nice. I just love it.
