Fathers day breakfast in bed. Made 100 % by the kids.

Jude and Alice had been taking turns giving each other blanket rides. I asked them "What Am I going to do with you sillies?" and Jude with the seriousness of a heart attack looks at me and says "You gotta think Big mom!"

The kids are making banana muffins and when I say they made them..they made them. The only thing I did was to help make sure measurement and order were right. They scooped poured, mixed, dumped everything. They were so excited to be a part of something that felt so big.

Derek and I have been together for 7 years now. So for our lucky seven anniversary we went down to play in Vegas. We had SUCH a good time. We stayed at a really nice hotel that had a sand bottom pool, tons of lounging areas, arches, a water features. Plus the room was gorgeous with a big fluffy white bed, a mirrored vanity, and a ginormous tub and shower. Since it was Vegas there were tons of things to do! We of course hit up the pool. We wandered the strip enjoying street performers and shops. We went to a HUGE buffet that took Derek and i 3 plates before we were able to taste everything(we had to do one and two bite portions) and then there was still Dessert. They had the best cookies and cream gelato on the planet. We also went to a magic show where I got to do some audience participation which is always fun. All in all it was the great vacation with a great man. 7 years and still going strong. I love us!

It is summer and it is time for a change. Hair dye!!! I have been thinking about going turquoise for awhile now and I finally went for it. Derek had been planning to shave his head in the next week so I convinced him to do this with me. He is such a good sport because it is really a bear of a process. You have to put the bleach in your hair and it smells AWFUL! Very chemical and over powering. Then you have to take your hair and wrap it in tinfoil and heat process it for an hour with the blow dryer. Ugh! Wash it out and then add a toner to your hair. Leave that in for 15 minutes wash it out, then your hair is finally that bleach color and you can add the color. I went for turquoise tips on the underside of my hair and Derek did a pink and turquoise streak. We look AWESOME!!!

On a carousel! do do do do do do! On a carousel!

So bed time is for sleeping, unless your name is Alice. Then it is for sleeping, but also dumping out everything on the floor first. ugh!

Here is Jude at preschool graduation. In very typical Jude fashion he isn't loving the attention from so many strangers. He spent most of the time covering his face but we didn't mind. That is our boy and we are proud of him to have finished his first year of preschool.

What the shinnanigans! Here is the story, it is a short one but one I found quite poetic. Jude and Alice like most small kids, love to pester their siblings. Well Alice had finished her breakfast and was walking by with a blanket. Jude thinking he is going to be a little sister pestering punk grabs the blankie and pulls as hard as he can to try and take it away from her. Well the joke was on him. Alice dug in her heals and pulled Jude down , cereal, chair, boy and all. I of course first checked to make sure Jude was ok. Then I left him there and used the moment to have a good talk about not taking things that don't belong to you. Then both Alice and I helped Jude get up and cleaned off. naughty little cutie pies.
